If you don’t want the close monitoring of one-on-one personal training, or you like to work with like-minded people, then our small group fitness training sessions are the perfect option for you.
Personal Best’s Brisbane group fitness training sessions offer many of the same benefits as personal training, but without the individual supervision. All our group classes have fewer than 10 people per class to ensure a high quality of supervision and support. Each class format changes from week to week to add variety and ensure you continue to get the results you deserve.
Small Group Training Class Types
At PB, we offer 3 types of small group fitness training classes.
Metabolic Conditioning (MetCon)
MetCon classes are high intensity training with a combination of cardio-vascular and strength training exercises. The classes are often run in a circuit format, with varying degrees of work to rest periods. This is a workout to really get you working hard. As an added benefit, we track your heart rate throughout the class to monitor just how hard you’’re working. At the beginning of each month, an individual MetCon assessmentis conducted to assess your progress.
Strong & Toned
Our Strong & Toned classes focus on developing strength to assist you with performing your daily activities with ease, and developing and maintaining great posture. These classes also help with your range of motion, and help to burn fat and increase bone strength.
Stretch & Release
The Stretch & Release class is a great compliment to the MetCon and Strong & Toned classes. The Stretch & Release classes focus on improving: flexibility, range of motion, posture, balance and agility. You will use a variety of stretching exercises and techniques, together with using a variety of apparatus to assist you to get the most from the class.
